About us
Founded in 2006 and maintained by the Zagreb-based German-Croatian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the state of Bavaria’s office in Croatia is headed by Dr. Peter Presber, the Chamber’s executive director.
Croatia in Bavaria
Croatian companies started setting up subsidiaries in Bavaria a number of years ago. As of 2010, 50,788 Croatian nationals resided in Bavaria, making them, with a 5% share of total, the fixth largest group of non-Germans in the state. Bavarian and Croatian communities have entered into five partnerships.
Bavaria in Croatia
At latest report, more than 1,300 Bavarian companies do business with and in Croatia. They include Siemens, Meggle, Hipp, Knauf, BHS Corrugated and Sano. All of these have set up subsidiaries and production operations in Croatia.
Trade between Bavaria and Croatia amounted to €530.3 million in 2010, ranking Croatia fifth among Bavaria’s non-EU trading partners in southeastern Europe.
