The Bavarian Representative Office in Hungary
About us
Founded in 2001 and maintained by the Budapest-based German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the state of Bavaria’s office in Hungary is headed by Gabriel A. Brennauer, the Chamber’s executive director.
Hungary in Bavaria
The office has provided business development services to such Hungarian companies as MK Mineralkontor GmbH, IND GmbH, Graphisoft R&D AG, Montana Informationstechnologie und Kommunikations AG and Inconex Eisen- und Metallindustrie GmbH. All of these now operate successfully in Bavaria.
Such institutions as the Bavarian-Hungarian Forum and the Hungarian Institute (both based in Munich) and the German-Hungarian Friendship Circle Passau-Veszprém promote business and cultural ties between the state and the country.
Bavaria in Hungary
Annual trade between Hungary and Bavaria amounts to more than €7,2 billion (2010). Such major Bavarian companies as Audi, E.ON, Siemens and Knorr-Bremse have been operating and producing successfully in the country for many years.
