The Bavarian Representative Office in Israel
About us
The Bavarian representative office is headed by Godel Rosenberg. Together with the team from the Israeli-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce under the direction of Grisha Alroi-Arloser in Tel-Aviv, Mr. Rosenberg has taken up the challenge of forging an even closer business relationship between Bavaria and Israel.
Israel in Bavaria
Just 3½ flying hours away from Israel, Bavaria has for years now been the gateway to Europe for many Israeli companies. Israel’s principal export – ICT know-how – has found many partners in Bavaria and through Bavaria in Germany and Europe. For a long time, the Israeli Ministry of Trade had an office in Munich, which is to be re-opened again shortly. The German-Israel Economic Association is based in Munich as well. Close contacts are also fostered with the thriving Jewish communities in Bavaria.
Bavaria in Israel
Nearly 1,000 Bavarian companies maintain successful, well-established business relations with Israel; 350 of these companies, including Siemens and BMW, have representative offices of their own.
The volume of trade passing between Bavaria and Israel came to euro 615 million in 2010, which puts Israel in 6th place among all the Middle East countries having business relations with Bavaria.
