The Bavarian Representative Office in Mexico
About us
Founded in 2001, the state of Bavaria’s representative office in Mexico is affiliated with CAMEXA, the German-Mexican Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The office deploys its knowledge of conditions in Mexico and its network of transnational ties in the fostering of business relationships between the country and Bavaria. Entailed in this is the provision of information, contacts and services (along with partners) facilitating Bavarian companies’ launching of activities in Mexico, and promoting Mexican investment and operations in the state.

Such companies as CEMEX have been successfully operating for many years on the Bavarian market. Along with some 1,600 Mexican citizens, these companies form part of the well-established and sustainedly-growing Mexican community in Bavaria. International daycare centers and schools, and such institutions as the Mexican Honorary Consulate and the Deutsche-Mexikanische Gesellschaft (German-Mexican Society) help foster the ties making Mexican families integral parts of daily life in Bavaria. Professors and students profit from about 35 partnerships entered into by institutions of higher education in Bavaria and Mexico.
Bavaria in Mexico
Powered by such high-quality and best-selling products as automobiles, machines and electrotechnical products, exports of approximately € 900 million make Mexico Bavaria’s second largest market in Latin America. Such Bavarian companies as KUKA, MAN and Siemens have been successfully operating manufacturing facilities in Mexico for many years.
For many Mexicans, football’s World Cup, held in Germany in 2006, provided an opportunity to get to know and fall in love with Bavaria—or to view in-depth reports on the state.
And this interest and this traffic is two-way! Bavaria’s businesspersons and tourists are also highly interested in getting to know Mexico.
