German-Brazilian Business Days in Munich from May 30 to June 1, 2010

Invest in Bavaria and the Bavarian Representation in Brazil inform interested companies about locational advantages in Bavaria

The Federation of German Industries (BDI) and its partner associations are this year once again staging the German-Brazilian Business Days, to which interested companies are cordially invited. In collaboration with the Bavarian Representative Office in Brazil, Invest in Bavaria - the Business Promotion Agency of the State of Bavaria - will use this forum to provide information about Bavaria’s advantages as a top business location for companies interested in investing in Bavaria, especially those from Brazil.

Several Bavarian and Brazilian participants from the fields of industry, politics and science as well high-profile representatives of both Governments are expected at the business conference, whose motto this year is “German-Brazilian Partnership: Innovative – Sustainable – Successful”. Key themes to be addressed by the Business Days will be energy, innovation, the automotive industry and sustainable stadium solutions / security as well as the FIFA 2014 World Cup Football Championships and the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.

Brazil is becoming an increasingly important market for the Bavarian business community, as underscored by the latest figures: as the most important trading partner in Latin America, Bavarian-Brazilian relations recorded a trade volume of € 1.3 billion last year, while Bavaria generated a trade surplus of € 471 million.

Bavaria is the only German state to have its own representative office in Brazil. Launched more than ten years ago, the liaison office develops and cultivates political, economic and scientific contacts. This is also confirmed by the latest figures. More than 350 Bavarian companies boost their presence in Brazil in the form of subsidiaries or branch offices; around 20% of German investments come from Bavaria.

The annual German-Brazilian Business Days are held alternately in Brazil and Germany. After Vitória, the capital of the Brazilian State of Espírito Santo, last year, the Bavarian capital of Munich was chosen as the venue for 2010. The two days of the conference will be held at BMW Welt (on May 31) and in the Allianz Arena ( on June 1). Come and talk to us! You will find us on the Bavarian information stand.
