MUNICH  Since the mid-1990s, Bavaria has successfully maintained a presence in 22 major countries like the USA, Japan, China, Russia, Brazil or the United Arab Emirates with representative offices now totalling 23 in number.

MUNICH    Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy Martin Zeil welcomes the decision of the Finnish paper manufacturer UPM to build a new gas-fired power plant with combined heat and power at its Schongau plant.

MUNICH  With the opening of the Nuremberg and Berchtesgadener Land branch offices, the ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Oberpfaffenhofen has been expanded into ESA BIC Bavaria. “With this expansion, we are stepping up our current involvement in ESA BIC from Euro 2.1 million to a total of Euro 3.25 million. In this way, we will be supporting a total of 70 start-ups at the three Bavarian locations up until the end of 2013”, commented Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs Martin Zeil.

MUNICH / BERLIN    The Bavarian entry ‘MAI-Carbon’ is one of the five winners in the Leading-Edge Cluster competition launched by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

MUNICH / WEIDEN    At a meeting held in Weiden, the Lord Mayor of the city of Weiden, Kurt Seggewiß, and Invest in Bavaria, the Business Promotion Agency of the State of Bavaria, have agreed to step up cooperation on the recruitment of new business.
